Tap a station to do the job, tap the customer to hand it back, and send them off happy before their patience runs out. A shift is a minute or so. Past day thirty you choose a bigger office, each with a service and a quirk of its own, and your rank, your album and the decor you have bought come with you. We wanted the thunk of a rubber stamp to be the whole reward loop. A queue, a set of scales, and a van that leaves whether you are ready or not.

Past day thirty you pick where to move next. Market day in Market Town, cheeky gulls on the coast, courier rushes in the City, the collection hatch at Central, passports at Head Office. Each brings a new job with it.

Sixty pieces to buy with coins: wallpaper, floors, counters, the view of the lane outside, a radio, a notice board, and an office cat or dog with a bed of its own. All of it cosmetic, none of it a shortcut.

Every parcel you send counts towards your rank, from Counter Clerk to Legend of the Post. Each promotion brings a piece of decor, and your record follows you from office to office.

- What kind of game is Post & Parcel?
- A cosy time-management game for iPhone, iPad and Android about running a village post office. Villagers arrive with parcels that each need a stamp, a weigh or a wrap. You tap a station to do the job and tap the customer to hand it back. A shift lasts a minute or so, and there are twelve different jobs to learn across the whole game.
- Is Post & Parcel free?
- Yes. It is free with ads between shifts, never during one. A single £2.99 purchase removes every ad forever and is shared with your family.
- What is the Stamp Album?
- A collection of thirty-nine stamps you earn as you work. Every service has its own, special parcels earn rarer ones, and three only turn up in their season. A first-day cover is the hardest of the lot, and turns up about once in every two hundred parcels.
- What happens at day thirty?
- A bigger sorting office opens up and you choose where to go next. Market Town, the coast, the City, Central or Head Office, in whatever order you like. Each one brings a job the others do not have and a quirk to work around, and you start again at day one with a permanent bonus on your takings.
- Does my progress move to a new phone?
- Yes. On iPhone and iPad it syncs through your own iCloud, and the further-along save always wins, so picking up the other device never costs you a day. On Android it travels with your phone’s own backup, so a reinstall or a new handset picks up where you left off.
