Who we are

Hoome Holdings Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are a company registered in England and Wales, number 09470477, at Lichfield Business Village, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 6QG.

For anything about your data, email [email protected]. We reply within a month, and usually much sooner.

The short version

Each product handles data differently. This table is the summary; the sections below have the detail.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

This website

hoome.co.uk is a static site. It sets no analytics cookies and runs no tracking scripts. The typeface loads from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details in the same way as any web request.

The site is served through Cloudflare and Google Cloud, which keep short-lived server logs of requests, including IP addresses, to run and protect the service.

If you email us, we keep the message for as long as we are dealing with it and for a reasonable period afterwards.

The Caddy

The Caddy has its own, fuller privacy policy at thecaddy.co.uk/privacy and a privacy screen inside the app. This is the summary. Where they differ, the fuller policy applies.

Account. You sign in with email, Apple or Google. We store your name, email address, an optional profile photo and a device token for notifications. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email, and we only receive Apple’s relay address.

Your golf. Scorecards, the courses and tees you play, your handicap index and the statistics derived from your rounds are stored so the app can work and so you can see your history.

Swing videos. If you use Swing Analysis, the video and still frames from it are uploaded to our storage. We keep the media for your ten most recent analyses and delete older media automatically. The written coaching is kept.

Location. Used only while the app is open, only to suggest clubs near you, and never stored on our servers. You can search by name instead.

Artificial intelligence. Still frames from your swing and the statistics from your rounds are sent to our AI provider to produce swing analysis, coaching plans and recaps. Your name and contact details are not sent. The output is guidance, not professional instruction, and it can be wrong.

Other players. People in your group round see your name and score. Friends see your name, photo and the rounds you post. A round can count towards a course leaderboard, and we ask before your name appears on a public one. Public leaderboards and tournaments can be read by anyone on thecaddy.co.uk.

Diagnostics. Crash reports and error logs are sent to Sentry so we can find faults.

Deleting your account. You can do it yourself from Settings in the app. It erases your private data, replaces your name on shared rounds with “Former player”, and keeps only the payment records the law requires us to hold.

Football Alarm Clock

There is no account. Your alarms, your club and your settings live on your phone, and deleting the app deletes them.

On your device. Alarm times, days, labels, chosen sounds, the club you follow, the most recent fixture and result, the name you type for rival wake-ups, and which upgrades you own. Alarms are also registered with the operating system’s alarm service so they ring when the app is closed. Those records hold the alarm time and its label, which may include a scoreline.

Fixtures. To fetch your club’s next fixture and last result, the app sends the club’s numeric ID to our fixtures feed, currently TheSportsDB, a couple of times a day. No name or device identifier is included. Club badge images load from the feed’s image host, which sees your IP address like any web image.

Purchases. Rival wake-ups and Matchday Pro are sold by Apple or Google. We receive an anonymous app-user ID and purchase status through RevenueCat so we can unlock features and restore them on a new phone. We never see payment details.

Permissions. Alarms (iOS 26 and later) to ring on silent. Notifications on older iOS and for the ringing screen on Android. Exact alarms and full-screen alerts on Android. Microphone, only while you record a voice note.

Nothing else. No analytics, no crash-reporting software, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps.

Rival wake-ups and voice notes

When you send a rival wake-up, the app uploads a small package to our relay, which runs on Cloudflare: the scoreline, the name you typed, the alarm time and sound, an optional short note, and a voice note of up to fifteen seconds if you recorded one. The relay gives you a link, and you choose who to send it to and through which app.

The package is stored for at most 24 hours and is deleted automatically after that. The link opens once; ten minutes after it is first opened the page stops working. We do not see who you send it to, and we do not keep a copy after expiry.

Anyone who has the link can open it during that window, so only record and write things you are happy for the recipient to hear and see. Do not include other people’s personal information without their agreement.

If you receive a wake-up you did not want, you do not have to accept it. Nothing is installed or scheduled unless you tap to add the alarm. If a wake-up is abusive, email [email protected] with the link and we will remove it and can block the sender’s device from the relay.

Crumb & Kettle

A single-player game with no accounts, no sign-in and no chat. Your progress is saved on your device and included in your normal device backup. We never see it.

Advertising. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. To do that, Google’s software may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device model and operating system, and which ads you saw and tapped. Google describes its use of this data in its own privacy policy.

Consent. On first launch in the UK, EEA and Switzerland you see a consent form and can choose non-personalised ads. iOS also asks whether the game may track you across other apps; if you say no, ads still show but are not personalised using your advertising identifier. You can change either choice from Settings inside the game.

Removing ads. Buying Remove Ads stops the game requesting ads at all. Apple handles the purchase and we receive no payment details, only a receipt that tells the game ads are off.

Diagnostics. The game has no analytics software of its own. If you have chosen to share diagnostics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports.

The Grounds Man

Our print shop sells through Etsy. When you order, Etsy shares your name, delivery address and order details with us so we can make and post your item. Etsy’s privacy policy governs how Etsy uses your data. We use what we receive only to fulfil the order and to keep the sales records the law requires.

Our suppliers

We use these companies to run the products. Each processes data only on our instructions, or, where marked, under its own policy.

Several of these suppliers process data in the United States. Where data leaves the UK we rely on the UK’s adequacy regulations, including the UK–US Data Bridge, or on the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement with the supplier.

Why we are allowed to use it

• To provide what you asked for: your account, scorecards, alarms, purchases and wake-ups. This is performance of a contract.
• To keep things working and safe: crash reports, server logs, fraud prevention. This is our legitimate interest, balanced against yours.
• With your consent: location, notifications, the microphone, and personalised advertising in Crumb & Kettle. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app or your device settings.
• Because the law requires it: keeping records of payments for six years for tax purposes.

How long we keep it

• The Caddy account data: until you delete your account. Swing media: your ten most recent analyses. Payment records: six years.
• Football Alarm Clock: everything stays on your phone. Rival wake-up packages: at most 24 hours on our relay.
• Crumb & Kettle: nothing held by us.
• Emails to us: while we deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards.
• Server logs: a short rolling period, typically under 30 days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

For The Caddy, the fastest route is Settings in the app, where you can delete your account yourself. For Football Alarm Clock and Crumb & Kettle, deleting the app deletes your data, because we hold none. Requests about advertising data in Crumb & Kettle go to Google, since we never receive it.

If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Football Alarm Clock and Crumb & Kettle carry a 4+ age rating because their content is suitable for anyone, not because they are made for young children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will remove it.

Changes

When we change how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. For anything significant we also say so in the app’s release notes.
