Our game · Coming to the App Store
See who came in the night.
Strap a camera to a spot along an English hedgerow, aim it at a gap in the bank or a log pile, leave some bait and close the app. Real time passes whether you are playing or not. Come back to a roll of photographs and name what you caught. Free with gentle ads, or £2.99 once to remove them.
- 17
- visitors, from badger and fox to an otter at the pond
- 24
- frames on a card, so a week away never dumps a hundred photos on you
- 30s
- a day. The rest happens while you are asleep

Over before your tea has brewed.
Every other cosy game we have made asks for a few minutes of tapping. This one asks for a tap to set up and a tap to look, and puts all the interest in the gap between them, where you are not playing at all.

It happens while you are away
Six spots along the hedge, two cameras and four baits. Set one up, close the app, and the cameras keep watching on wall-clock time.

Naming is the game
A sharp photograph names itself. A blurry one offers two or three choices and pays more for a right guess. A wrong guess logs the visit and pays nothing. That is the whole downside.

A roll to look through
Come back to a card of frames, each stamped with the spot and the time it was taken, and work down them with your tea.

The Hedgerow Book
Every visitor gets a daylight portrait and an infra-red one. One in twenty-five is a melanistic or albino morph, worth double and kept on its own page.
How it is built
Fully native, small, and honest about money: one purchase, no subscriptions, no ads while you are looking at the roll.
Back to all work- Native Swift, built with SwiftUI
- Wall-clock visits: the hedgerow state is a timestamp, not a running timer
- Night portraits derived from the daylight drawings through an infra-red ramp
- StoreKit 2 for the single one-off purchase
- Plays offline, saves on the device, keeps your podcast running
- All art and sound generated by the same tools as our other games
Questions people ask
- What kind of game is Bramble & Badger?

- About thirty seconds a day. A tap to set the camera up and a tap to look at what it caught. All the interest is in the gap between, when you are not playing.
- What happens if I guess wrong?
- Nothing bad. A wrong guess still logs the visit, it just pays nothing. There is no punishment anywhere in the game.
- When is it out?
