Pier & Perch

Coming soon

Most of it is waiting. That is the good bit.

Cast off an old pier, watch the float, strike the moment it dips, then play the fish in without parting the line.

Pier & Perch on an iPhone

What kind of game is Pier & Perch?

A cosy sea-fishing game for iPhone, iPad and Android. You cast off a Victorian pier, watch the float, strike when it dips, then hold to reel while the line tension stays out of the red. A session lasts about a minute.

This one is for you if

  • You find watching a float genuinely relaxing
  • You want two seconds of tension and a lot of calm around them
  • You like a record you can actually measure, in centimetres
  • The float is the whole interface

Tap to cast, then wait. The float sits out there bobbing, and most of a session is watching it. That is the point.

  • A tension bar you have to read

Hold to reel, and let go the moment the fish runs. Keep winding through a run and the braid parts. That is a fish gone, and three gone means you pack up.

  • Eight species, measured

Mackerel, pollack, whiting, plaice, bass, conger, John Dory, and a Moon Fish that only shows on an October night. One in twenty-five comes up silver.

Before you tap

Is the tide real?
Yes. It runs on your device clock on a twelve-and-a-half-hour cycle, and it changes what bites and how often. A morning session genuinely differs from an evening one, and bass come on at dusk.
Is Pier & Perch free?
Yes. It is free with ads between sessions, never during one. A single £2.99 purchase removes every ad forever and is shared with your family.
When is it out?
Pier & Perch is finished and heading to the App Store and Google Play. Email [email protected] if you want to hear when it lands.
