Trail cameras on a hedgerow. Real time passes while you are asleep, and in the morning there is a roll of photographs to name.

Bramble & Badger on an iPhone

What kind of game is Bramble & Badger?

A cosy wildlife game for iPhone, iPad and Android. You set up trail cameras along a hedgerow, leave bait and close the app. Visits happen in real time, and you come back to a roll of photographs to name.

This one is for you if

  • You have thirty seconds a day, not thirty minutes
  • You would put a trail camera in your garden if you had one
  • You like finding out rather than being tested
  • It happens while you are away

Six spots along the hedge, two cameras and four baits. Set one up, close the app, and the cameras keep watching on wall-clock time.

  • Naming is the game

A sharp photograph names itself. A blurry one offers two or three choices and pays more for a right guess. A wrong guess logs the visit and pays nothing. That is the whole downside.

  • A roll to look through

Come back to a card of frames, each stamped with the spot and the time it was taken, and work down them with your tea.

Before you tap

How long does it take to play?
About thirty seconds a day. A tap to set the camera up and a tap to look at what it caught. All the interest is in the gap between, when you are not playing.
What happens if I guess wrong?
Nothing bad. A wrong guess still logs the visit, it just pays nothing. There is no punishment anywhere in the game.
When is it out?
Bramble & Badger is finished and heading to the App Store and Google Play. Email [email protected] if you want to hear when it lands.
